What a great post! My only divergence from Cordy’s answers would have been bananas for his rockets, but I’m a foodie ;-). We just got a new fridge and I, too, am a bit baffled by some icons. You know those “crisper” drawers? The ones where you can control the humidity? Our last fridge had a head of lettuce and an apple on it, seemed pretty simple–you need to keep lettuce pretty moist, but an apple has its own peel for protection (or that was my interpretation of it for a decade, anyway). But our new one has a carrot at one end of the humidity range and an apple at the other. Hmmm. Two peels. Maybe Cody can help me out!

It took me a while to figure out that the 4th button is not a flying rabbit, but ice wedges. I like Cordy’s answers better.
Cordy’s answers are pretty spot on. Makes the mundane things that much more interesting when you have the input of a genius.
