Oh yeah. N has been getting allowance for over a year now and she can spend it how she wants within reason. Only after a year is she realizing that things from the dollar store are not only inexpensive, but real cheap too. I do draw the line at anything slutty or demeaning to women and girls. I recently bent in my refusal of Barbie: I gave her my old ones. :-) Some toys/broken dolls have disappeared never to be seen again by mommy discretion.

Oh my gosh! That is funny but ewww. My son is 9. I can see him asking for that. (Esp since our little dog is part Dachsie.) But I'm with you... Not gonna buy.

Then again... My sister loves to buy Seth the most obnoxious presents ever. She'd HATE this gift. So I might get this for one of her kids. I owe her! ;)
